Happy New Year!

This is officially my 300th post- whew! Wishing all of you a Happy New Year! If you want to see my last year in review I posted about that on my other blog HERE. I am beginning to wonder if I should just join the two blogs....

I love bringing in the new year with 1,000 resolutions of things I want to do to better myself...and then I love to hate myself when I fail at them. I have read a few people taking the ONE word challenge. I love this. One word to sum it all up! Something to strive for and motivate, but not be discouraging when I'm not perfect. So, I set some goals to cross off and one word for myself to remember. Instead of being mad for "missing" a day of prayer, or working out- I have the year to complete my goals. For example, I am going to run 200 miles this year. I have lots more that I will be working on and adding to the list.

So my word this year is balance.

Meaning mental steadiness or emotional stability; habit of calm behavior, judgement, ect..

balance and bare feet

If you know me well, you know I have major anxiety issues. SUCKS pretty bad. I don't sleep well- mainly because I am pretty good at obsessing over doing a thousand things and stressing myself out to the max. Not this year. I want my main focus to be finding balance between church, mommy time, wife time, family and friends, and time for me. This may mean saying NO more often. Or maybe just learning to calm down about saying yes. I just want to be better. Not saying that my life is stressful- because it SHOULDN'T be. I somehow choose this. So that's my better. Be balanced.

Life is like riding a bicycle in order to keep your balance you must keep moving.

REALLY hoping this works out better than the normal goals I set for myself. What are your resolutions for this year?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! I wish you a beautiful 2013...last year one of my hopes was for more balance. It feels so good when things all come together without such chaos. I LOVE the photo of the three of you!
