Unfortunately Day 1 of vacation was an absolute disaster.:( Now that I am here though I have no complaints!!! I am right now looking at the ocean...serious...can't complain!!! However the short version of the story is that Hawaiian Airlines sucks!!! I was stupid enough to have a girls night with my sisters and my friend Jenn two nights before I lefft. Although it was a BLAST, I ended up going to bed around 5:30 am and woke up at 7:30 am for a full day of work. The next night I was so excited that I spent the whole night packing and getting things ready to leave. Jonny and I got about 3 1/2 hours of sleep. The next morning we woke up to a phone call from our ride to the airport asking if we were ready to go...(yep we totally slept in) Luckily we were out the door within like ten minutes and still made it on time for the flight which was supposed to leave around 8:00 am. When we got there Hawaiian Airlines said they had to do some maintenance on the plane and were four hours behind schedule!!!! That's not the worst part. First off it ended up they were 5 hours behind...as well we MISSED the connecting flight from Oahu to Maui because of them and they did NOTHING about it. They wanted us to pay for ANOTHER flight which left at 8 pm. We were supposed to get to Maui by three pm, instead we got here around 10pm (midnight az time) so we were there ALL DAY! I was so pissed though because no one would help us out! I was seriously almost in tears because it was such an awful start to a vacation I was so excited for!! However...the moment we hit Maui my attitude did a 360. I was way to happy to let anything get me down. We got to our resort (which is gorgeous) unpacked and fell asleep pretty quick! Now I'm on day 2 and things are going AMAZING! We woke up to perfect weather and a beautiful view. We worked out this morning (I know...strange) went to the pool to lay out and then had lunch at Maui Tacos. We remembered this place from last time...it's divine. Then we went shopping, chilled at the resort and watched a movie. Most relaxing day ever! I pretty much love it here...I don't think I will be coming back...It will be to the beach and Jacuzzi for the rest of the afternoon...Can't wait to pick up our friends from the airport tomorrow!!!!

My LOVE! I am so sorry you had such a disaster the first day! That would have been the worst. :( I am glad you made it though and having a blast now! SO jealous! You look amazing in your swimming suit and I miss you tonz already! Have so much fun and you better come back!! hahaha love you!
We had a somewhat similar situation when we went.
Dont forget to snorkle in Molokini and off the beach at Ka'anapali. We love the Ka'ananpali area. Its the best.
From the looks of it I wouldn't want to come back either! So happy things turned out better than day 1! Have fun and can't wait to see more pictures! Hugs :-)
